What is sound drivers

You answered my question "ways to get sound drivers back" by suggesting the system restore. Well I had done that, and I did it again to several different restore points, some a week to two weeks before the loss of the sound. no luck.

Right click my computer click properties, click on device manager see what kind of sound card you have installed write the name down go to the internet for the manufacture of the sound card web site and down load an upto date driver.
