What is system tools

When I run scandisk on my windows xp, I get a window that says checking old files. This may take some time. It never finishes. I have let it run for days.

What you can do is run a disk cleanup to compress old files or to remove them after a set amount of days start,programs,accessories,system tools,disk cleanup
