What i s connection

When I installed my IDE controller card, it goes through the memory tests and gets to the raid setup it identifies the two drives I have installed on the controler card a maxtor 40gb and a western digitial 12gb. Then it locks after identifying both drives, and doesn't continue to booting windows. If I leave the card in the computer and just un plug the IDE cable to it the computer boots fine. What else is there to try to get the computer to boot with the controller working properly?

Make sure that you set the jumpers to master/slave from one to the other.
