I ask this question Sept 15 or so and some one attempted to answer it but they obviously did not even read my question. They answered something about sending a picture. Please read my question throught before answering it. This question is not about sending a picture

Thanks Pippi

When I add a jpeg as a desktop background it causes my computer to hang and to freeze. (The picture I may have received from someone as an attachment or a grieat pic I have found on the web). I have tried this several times and each time it causes my computer to hang or freeze Any solution? Thanks, Pippi

Make Sure your picture is Jpeg form by look its extension such as sample.jpeg, also open the right click the picture and look at the size of the picture, also open the picture to see if your computer freeze, if your computer freeze then you have a corrupt picture, tell the someone to send you another picture.

I suggest not to put picture background that has a size of 3 or 4 MB, because this it will slow the startup Windows.

I you have photo shop or illustrator, open with this program and try to see if you can reduce some pixel.
