When computer boots, I get icon to connect to Internet

When the computer boots, I get the icon to connect to the internet both before the request for the password comes up and again after the password has been entered. The same thing happens when I shut down windows. Something is trying to dial but I don't know how to find which program is causing this problem. Is there a simple way to check and find this problem?

Most likely than not you will be able to fix this extremely annoying problem by simply re-installing your internet browser Whether it's MSN or AOL, try deleting it from your computer first You will find the corresponding internet provider folder in your Program Files which is located in the C: drive After that's done, pop in the Internet Service Provider cd into your cd-rom Follow the instructions on the monitor and begin re-installing Good Luck!!
