I recently upgraded to IE 6. Now I have the following intermittent problem: When typing the URL I will get double letters in the address. ie. www.mmssn.ccomm and then the window will close after hitting enter.

Ideas?

Sometimes re-installing IE6 will fix a problem like this However, I am extremely doubtful that it will work in this case This is definately a compatibility issue Since IE6 is the latest explorer and you're running on the W98 operating system, there is the possibility that IE6 is not compatible with W98 I'm almost certain that IE6 is actually destructive to W98 But it will most likely than not work on a more up-to-date operating system such as ME or XP I would definately suggest for you to consider an operating system upgrade if you wish for IE6 to run smoothly If an upgrade is not an option for you right now you can downgrade to an earlier version of IE Good Luck!!
