What is SP1

I was browsing in my computer and went to the C drive and then i went into the window folder and opened it up but only to find alot of folders that have this on it $NtUninstallKB824105$ only on each one of these folders there is different numbers on them, Like i said before i really dont know that much about computers at all and i was wondering if you could possibly tell me what those folders are and should i delete them all?

If you haven't updated to SP1 on your XP than scan it with Fix-It http://www.v-com.com/download/index.html But thats those folders of your microsoft downloads when you upgrade if makes those folders i said the same thing to myselve they put me on to what it was when i asked my brother
