Getting an invalid system error

I formated my hard drive to reinstall window. When I try to boot to my "boot disk" it gives me a invalid system disk error. The disk works ok in my other pc. Everything worked before. I made sure the boot sequence was to the A drive in the BIOS. Thanks

1-Suspect a boot sector virus

2-IO.SYS is missing or corrupted restore the file from a back up or emergency startup disk

3-Boot from awindow 9x emergency starup disk

4-to restore IO.SYS execute the command SYS C:
