What happen when you Install or Uninstall too much software?

when I type in run box dxdiag to open the diagnostic tool, error box shows (can not find the dxdiagn.dll) When I open the system information manually and click on diagnostic tools also shows error. (can not find dxdiagn.dll. ) Do I have this tool on my machine or did I lose this dll and what do I have to do to correct it? I need to find out how much video memory I have on total memory line. windows 98 se. Thank you.

Something software that have been remove, will accidentally delete files that are use by other software Some software share the same .ini files and it accidentally delete when they are uninstall.

You can go the Microsoft website and the download the latest by going to: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads Look for DirectX 8.0a for Windows 95, 98, and Me Once you have download and install it, should be fine.

You migh also update your windows 98, this also might help.
