Just recently I receive the message "Do you want to allow software such as ActiveX controls & plug-ins to run?" when I go into various websites. I have to take the time to check the yes button (I'm not even sure I should be checking yes). What is ActiveX & how to I get the message to quit popping up?

I no longer have sound on my computers. I have checked everything & it says "working properly". There are no conflicts. It's not the speakers or their hook-up.

How can I tell if I need a new soundcard or whatever?

1 ActiveX is an antivirus program, installing will get rid of the popup messages.

2 You may have accidentally muted the speakers.
