What happen when the computer is consuming too much power?

my computer turns on for a sec and then it turns back off. i dont know y it does that. everything else works fine but the comp. how do i fix it?

You probably have to much device attach to your computer such as hard drives, PC card, PCI cards, USB hub or devices, Reduce many device in your system other wise replace your power supply with a Higher Wattz Also check your power supply if it has dust in it Try not to open too much program in windows.

Check the outlet of your wall if is in good condition if not connect to a different wall outlet, If you notice that is a power supply problem then next time buy a surge proctetor and clean it up with a duster blower antistatic.
