We are looking to set up a computer lab at a small school. 25 desktops and a file/print server.

The 25 units will not be 'talking' to each other however files will be stored on the server. The printer will either be connected to the server parallel port or use a printer network card.

The question:

Can Windows XP home on the 25 desktops handle this or should all of the units use XP Pro. There is a cost difference of about $2000.

thanks

Chris Wagner

Rather than trying to tell you which is better the link below is from Microsoft.com and shows a side by side comparison of XP home vs Pro.
