Floppy Drive problem.

hey how u doin,

anyways my computers about say years old, and everthing has been functioning, but now something wrong with my floppy drive. you know how when theres a floppy in the drive and you boot up your computer it says remove disk and push enter, but now it doesn't even say that, it reads it and just continues. So when i go to my computer and select the floppy drive to view my files on the floppy, the floppy light turns on, it starts to read(the sound is also different now) and says floppy not formated so i clicked format and that didn't work, after it said deviced attatched to the computer is not functioning(the floppy drive) so wat can i do to fix it? Please reply as soon as possible. Thanks

Hello there, I think your floppy drive it seen to be ok, most of the time the Floppy Diskette, see if you find another good condition diskette or new diskette and try to open it with the floppy drive.

If it making a terrible sound then there might be a piece of metal or there is something inside the floppy disk Take out the floppy disk an unscrew it and see if there something inside and shake it if necessary.

If this doesn't work then buy another floppy drive, in this days floppy drives are much cheaper.
