When you start DNS Server service, you may receive the following error message:

"Could not start the DNS server service on Local Computer.

Error 9608: DNS Zone Creation Failed."

This behavior can occur when all of the following are true:

* All Active Directory integrated forward or reverse lookup zones are changed to standard primary or secondary zones.

* At least one zone has a space character in its zone file name.

* The DNS server is configured to boot from file.
