when I startup my system, I receive an error message "error starting program, psapi.dll not found." But all the info. I can find online about this file says it's only used with Win NT. If this is so , and I am using WIN98SE, what is this? I have also attempted to download this file from several suppliers, downloaded to dektop, and then tried to open, and I when I think the file has loaded itself, I restart the system. But I still get the same message. HELP!!!!!!!!!

Every since this started, my IE's browser speed has demenished dramatically. Can this be the cause?

Well I think you did some mistake before this problem occurs IF you have the edll.exe and loader.exe on your hard disk Then, you probably caught spyware ad-aware or norton antivirus will not detect this This the things that you can do to solve this problem:

At the run dialog box from the start menu type MSconfig and enter the system configuration utility will open and go to the Startup tab and look for the file either edll.exe and loader.exe and clear the check box to desable.

Now is time to remove it from your computer and you even don't need Psapi.dll file, there is two option either you can install a software program that will remove it for you or you can do it manually;

1- This will help you to remove the files and any files automatically using the freeware "cwshredder" from www.spywareinfo.com.

or

2- Use the registry, before you modified make a backup of the system.dat and user.dat After backup, go to the run dialog box and type regedit, and keep going to currentuser/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/run- look for the files edll.exe and loader.exe and delete You could also do this at the start menu/programs/startup.

Reboot your computer and should be fine, make sure you delete this files so you won't have future problems.
