Dear Helpers,

I have got a very interesting and annoying problem with my destop. Form time to time it shuts down without any warning. First I was concerned that I might have the bluster worm- but I downloaded the Xp path and I run norton antivirus with live update.

Moreover I have anti trojaner 5.5. So I am quite sure that my comp is free from the bluster.

The computer always turns off when I try to send a file via my 100 Mbits/s cable to my laptop.

It's just turns off. Then it's impossible to switch it on again unless I put the plug out of the socket and into it again- then I can start my computer again.

So I think the problem is caused my loose contact at the power supply unit but because of the turn off when I try to send files to my laptop I am not quite sure if it has other reasons.

Maybe you 've faced similar problems and can give me some advice.

Thank you a lot

Michael

It sounds like your power supply unit is bad It could also be your on/off switch Try replacing the ON/OFF switch first (its cheaper) and if that does not work, replace the Power Supply.
