What years is your computer hp XL776? Is the component will be compatible?

I have upgraded my HP XL776 from 98 second edition to XP home and keep getting error message of Dispaly driver problems, and system also frezzes up . Is there a way that I can have this Xl 776 run in the xp home without having this problems? What can I do to eliminate problem? thank you; Bob

Question? -->is that is your computer can display color with good quality?, , , If not then your devices driver for the adapter is not compatible with Windows XP, go to the Microsoft website at http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/default.mspx, to test your drivers and device if they are compatible with your Windows XP.

If you see that your display driver or your video card or your monitor is not compatible them you have to also upgrade to a new one.

There is a special website call http://www.driverguide.com/,, Which will finds any drivers that will work for Windows XP and 2000 with a legacy devices.. you may be lucky to find one This website has a huge database of drivers of any kinds.
