What is TEMP environment variable?

I can not print in Internet Explorer or Outlook express. The error I get is

An erro has occured in the script on this page

error: Permission denied

This behavior can occur if the folder that is referred to by the TEMP environment variable is missing To solve this problem click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel Double-click System On the Environment tab, note the path for the TEMP variable in the User Variables for Name box The default is SystemDrive:\Temp.
