Why can't I connect to the internet, my computer says that it has encountered a problem, please help.

My computer shuts down FREQUENTLY. I get the message "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close..." I have mcafee virus protection running. What could be the problem. Please Help!! Thanks.

You should check your connections to see if they are loose, also check your modem connections.
