Why does Directx make my computer reboot

I need to why clicking on the "Directx" tab in my control panel would make my computer reboot? It also crashes when i start playing certain games, while it works perfectly for others. My computer specs are: PIII 650, 640RAM, ATI Radeon 9000 Pro, ASUS CUBX Motherboard.

First I think you should uninstall it from your pc Then you may want to reinstall a newer version back and let it go to its default folder Try to avoid downloading it.
