Stack: is used to describe a method of storing data in a list. A Stack works much like an inbox, where the last item added is on top (and therefore the first to get removed). All programs running on your computer use at least one stack, usually controlled by Windows. This stack lets the program know what it has already done or what needs doing. A stack uses a FILO structure, which stands for First-In-Last-Out. It's counterpart, a FIFO (First-In-First-Out) structure, is known as a queue, which works like the checkout line at your supermarket.
