Extended warranties are offered on virtually anything that you buy these days and the value of the warranties varies widely based on many variables.
Who you are, what and how you are using a product and the up front cost of the coverage all comes into play when you are confronted with this decision.
With computers, especially, the exclusions are generally where most of the issues arise as most consumers have no clear understanding of the difference between hardware and software issues.
