Remember when we could tell the phone company to keep our number unlisted? You can do the same thing online if you know where to find the instructions.

A non-profit website called has compiled a directory of over 50 sites that includes the instruction for each site if you want to be removed from their database. is the actual web address and each of the sites on the list comes with links to online request forms to be removed or in some cases, by mailing a removal request and where to send it.
