Scams and Spam Have Hit the Fan!
It’s obvious the Internet has simplified the way we live our lives; whether it be shopping, banking, or running a business. Unfortunately, the forces of the universe must balance themselves, making the Web an ideal place for con artists and criminals to do their dirty work. From the digital shadows, crooks from all corners of the globe have assumed a career in stealing from others, using technologies we’ve all become reliant on.
Hackers and virus writers use to be driven by fame and the love of the game. However, as online banking and shopping have become mainstream, many are seeing the lucrative possibilities. Viruses are now being altered to steal financial information, and hackers have consolidated their efforts to form sophisticated crime syndicates.
