As we begin to be able to travel again in the near future, one of the most helpful resources, when it’s a new area to you, is how to get around.
Most of us default to Google or Apple Maps, but there are more specific resources you may want to look into, such as City Mapper: https://citymapper.com
This resource specializes in showing all the methods available for getting you from point A to point B in an unfamiliar location.
Virtually every major form of transportation is covered including walking routes for those of you that like to get in the exercise.
Many urban areas also offer rental scooters and bicycles, which this app also covers with availability info for nearby stations.
City Mapper can be used in real-time or for scheduled times at a later date which can change your best option.
For the cities they cover, this is about as good as it gets for understanding your options for getting around, so if you’re going to be visiting a new city in the future, check to see if it’s in their database!
