I am very happy with the work Nate and Brenden did transferring files from my old Windows 7 laptop to my new Windows 10 laptop, and making them work. I’ve done this on my own in the past when I’ve had to replace PCs, and it’s been a lot of work dealing with softwares and peripherals that sometimes aren’t compatible. They sent me home with a new laptop with a familiar looking desktop and files important to me, and the VGA/HTMI adaptor, external DVD and hub, so my system would all function. Except for my calendar software which would not install, so I’ll replace that. For the most part I was doing my daily things just as normally as I was on the old laptop within a few days. EASY transition. THANK YOU! How NICE it is to have the PC booting up in a few seconds and screens changing immediately, etc! Much less stressful than the 12-minute boot ups, the daily lock ups, the forced shutdowns, the 12-minute re-boots, etc., that were happening for so long with the old laptop!! : ) Nate and Brenden both were very considerate and respectful, all the time. I never felt rushed. Most of the time I met and spoke with Nate. They were very patient when I explained things with probably more “story” words than needed. They offered useful advice and information. They listened and remembered things important to me because I found things on the new PC that meant they had. I use Juno installed software for e-mail that brings my e-mails down to my laptop that does not require an Internet connection to read and write e-mails, the connection needed only for bringing in mail. I knew that Windows 10 is not particularly friendly to Juno, largely because Juno requires Internet Explorer in the background for it to work. I’ve had the same Juno address for over 20 years and many e-mails saved on the PC. Nate worked a lot on getting that installed on my laptop, and restored my Juno backed-up files into the software, and it works. I’d mentioned to Nate that I back up my Juno e-mail nightly, and I found a shortcut icon on the desktop to the backup program, which is convenient. I had mentioned that I connect a large monitor to my laptop. Nate or Brenden asked whether I had a VGA or HTMI connection on the monitor and we included an adaptor for that. I mentioned I have things plugged into a hub and we included a new hub. Also I have a lot of DVDs that I use from time to time, so we included a DVD player. He suggested I convert those DVD files to flash drives. I mentioned that I play a game of Spider Solitaire each morning and a game of Hangman (.swf) each night. I knew that W10 did not include games. I found an icon for Spider Solitaire on my desktop. I knew that Adobe Acrobat was going away. I found the Hangman Alien game on my new PC and a software which will open the game for me. When I visited the shop upon request a couple times to see if I was OK with what they’d done, I’d told Nate earlier that use a mouse at home, and he offered one for me to use. He had software icons set up on my desktop for installing my scanner and printer, he gave me instructions, and they worked fine. I apologize for how dirty the keyboard was on my old laptop. Had I noticed that, I would have cleaned it up! I’m keeping the lid almost closed on the new laptop while I use the external monitor, keyboard and mouse when I’m at home. There are a few little tweaks, and maybe one biggish tweak, I will come in with sometime. They are easy to ignore or work around until I do that. Thank you for the great service!! I've had a service agreement with you for 11 years. I already receive your weekly e-mail newsletter, and want to keep receiving it.
