I would like the opportunity to sit down, for free if possible, and learn more about my system. Things have changed so rapidly in this industry, that once when I thought I knew what was going on better then most, I am now sadly mistaken. My main problem was with WORD program failing to print and sometimes to save. I was not able to test out the system for correction of the main problem I took the computer to Data Doctors to correct at the store before taking my computer home because it required my printer. The problem is corrected ''most of the time'' but not fully. I paid for a full service ($200) but feel that the main problem was beyond their skill level. That is why I rate the service as ''average'' overall.

Once it was finally done, the after service was great. However, I believe I was sold & paid for more than I needed & I believe they knew it at the time I brought my machine into the store.

I brought the computer in after it was infected with w32.randex.e virus. Once I got it back, they said they removed the virus. I went out and bought NAV 2004 and ran a prescan. Oops! 2 files still infected with w32.randex.e. Plus, unbeknownst to anyone, the virus had compiled many gigs of junk files, making it take forever for NAV to scan. This was obviously missed the first time. I had to take it back to DD and they finally figured it out. My computer ran fine for a few days afterward, then it became painfully slow again. I''m afraid to spend another $100 to clean things up if it won''t last. I haven''t downloaded any new programs or anything and I keep my NAV up to date.

The service personnel in the store were extremely friendly and helpful, recognizing that I was not the most computer literate person, they were very patient and understanding. Also, upon picking the machine up, they helped me to re-establish my internet connection. THANKS.
