I just wanted to write (something I RARELY do) to commend Steve Iott on his ''beyond the call of duty'' service that he performed concerning all of my computer problems. I am somewhat computer ignorant and was beyond the ''frustration level'' when I finally gave up and called his store. He was nothing less than extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. I cannot tell you just how much I truly appreciate having someone I know I can call and trust with any problems I may incur in the future. I have already told many people about my experience and they have stated that they would certainly give him a call if they ever had the need for a computer repair. Thank you again, Steve! Ultimately the OEM contacted me and would repair the unit under warranty. They WERE aware of issues that Data Doctors were not aware of vis-a-vis Athalon dual processor motherboards (I was told this was a "known issue") but DD was able to tell it was a power supply problem and not a failed HDD. Overall I''m very pleased with the service I received.

There was one communication glitch that caused a problem for me. After the engineer spoke to me and updated me on the situation with my recovery, the case was "closed". Someone else called my office and since I was not there, left a message with the person who answered the phone. We don''t have voice mail. The message included sensitive information that I did not want that person to know. This could have been avoided in two ways. 1) the engineer who did talk to me could have flagged that no further communication was necessary. i.e. customer contacted. 2) The phone message left for me should have only said that my job was complete and ready for pickup. No way did I want anyone telling the office blabbermouth that business critical files had been deemed unrecoverable! I consider that confidential information. Otherwise, I was very pleased and will use Data Doctors again for many projects that I must manage in Phoenix, from Califonia. Thanks for the help. It was help even if the result was less than desired. Jane Henson
